Project Experience with Atfal Mafkoda

Working on the Atfal Mafkoda Github implementation was a profound journey. Our team was tasked with deploying a face aging generative AI that could update the photos of missing children to reflect their current age, aiding volunteers in the search across the Middle East. Additionally, we developed a facial recognition system that could match newly found individuals with a database of photos from when they were younger. This contribution is detailed in our team's repository and further elucidated in our team presentation. We also were forunate enough to win the Audience Choice Award

The project's development took a significant leap forward after receiving an encouraging email from Youssef, a software engineer at Atfal Mafkoda. The email outlined the strides made in data organization and the inception of a full-scale Facebook data-mining initiative to amass data for the AI's development. The AI's deployment, showed promising results in trials, which you can explore on the Atfal Mafkoda website. The success of the project thus far gives us hope that our efforts will soon lead to a family's reunion.
